Summary
Full name: Dewey Bartholomew Bonham | Age: 18 | Birthday: July 23rd, 1929
Don’t bring up the middle name. He doesn’t like it.
Dewey is probably the most relaxed guy you will ever meet. He hardly has a care in the world - except for cases involving murder, of course - and typically stays quite positive. He is nearly everyone's friend, and everyone is nearly friends with him; he finds it EXTREMELY easy to find peace with others, especially because of his friendly aura. He can be quite loud at times, which can be a bit annoying to some, but most people don't mind.
Dewey’s favorite activity is to play cards and smoke with his friends. He thinks it’s a great way to spend your time. However, he’s also a little competitive. Richard, Twigs and Nathan often get frustrated when it’s their eighth game of poker and Dewey has only lost once.
Despite being generally pretty chill, Dewey is not one to mess with. No one really even tries, because he’s pretty damn strong. He works hard on his family’s farm when he’s down in the south, and all that strength not only gives him a lot of life experience, but gives him some muscle, too.
Speaking of the Bonham family, Dewey has three older brothers, all in their twenties and World War II veterans. Dewey has two uncles, three aunts, and five cousins between both of his parents. He’s really close with his whole family, unlike most of his friends; they’re all supportive of one another, and encourage each other to be the best person they can be.
Dewey doesn’t really have that many internal struggles, they all come externally. Even when Dewey got that scar from his father, he understood it was an accident and their relationship returned to normal. Dewey’s main problem lies with trying to be a certain blonde’s friend.
Dewey tends to gravitate towards people that don’t like him. It’s like a challenge. It was fun to be Nathan’s roommate for Dewey because Dewey genuinely found Nathan to be very interesting. He knew Nathan wasn’t really a jerk, and as they became more like friends, Nathan also became more like himself, and Dewey is proud of that.
Overall, Dewey is a fun guy to be around and a lot of people love him. He’s simple, he’s got it good, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t struggle a little, too.
